German blue digi placement

Good afternoon all, last month i picked up a german blue monti digi from a swap. It wasn't close to being blue when i got it, and it sure isnt blue now. Right now it is low in the tank and not doing much, i was told it did well low to get the blue color back, but everything i am reading now is conflicting.

So where does it do best? I probably should have known better since my orange digi is in high light/high flow and taking off.

Mine seems to like a fair amount of light to stay blue. I have it in the upper half of the tank under the same lighting you have listed there.

I hate decisions like these also, but if it working with low makes sense to try a higher output by raising its position. Keep a close eye on it of course.

Mine accepts med to high light. Having the colony under a center brace and another a few inches below the water line under a 120 Watt LED panel. As far as color it seems to change based on water quality. When I am running the tank nutrient rich turns into a gray Blue. When ULNS it is a light Blue. Honestly it looks healthier Gray Blue but looks better light blue.

After a month i thought i wouldve seen something, which is why i left it at the bottom for this long. Thanks for the input guys, ill start to raise it up and see what i get.

I've got a small frag that's on the bottom with a 250hqi 14k pendant. From reading the info, I'm raising it to high light/flow at the top 1/3 in the next couple of weeks. Good luck with yours, they seem like a fast grower.

More light = more blue for me. Accidentally broke a piece off and just left it at the bottom of the tank and it started to encrust on a rock but didn't go vertical or get much color until I moved the rock so it can get some light.

Mine is low, seems to grow ok but looks gray to me. I'd move it up higher but that would create bigger problems for me.
