I aquired a bubble tip anemone and it was attached to a piece of live rock. The rock also has zoo and hydras on it so it's not going into the display tank, any recommended way to get it to release from the rock so I can put him in the main tank ?
If you can i would use some coral cutters and cut the rock behind the foot so theres very little rock to go it the tank with him. I think it would be much better than tryin to pull him off the rock
try putting a few ice cubes in a plastic bag and rubbing them on its foot for a few minutes, and/or hold it upside down with it's top in the water and it's foot out.
If it is possible put the rock as close to your glass as possible. Once he is on the glass use a credit card slowly and gently to slip under the foot.Ice cubes will also work well if applied at foot. I have moved several using this technique.
