Ive read in numerous places clownfish eat seaweed as well as flakes and other food, ive tried hanging a clip of seaweed in my tank but they wouldnt even go near it?

Is there some trick to getting them to eat it or should i just leave the clip in until they decide to try it?

IME,clowns wont eat it.I have pairs of clowns that will go near it but will not eat it.Im not saying they wont but they just dont do it for me.

I've seen my clowns pick at hair algae, but I think they're actually going after pods. The best way I've found so far to get them to "eat their greens" is to feed them spirulina-based pellets once in a while--they gobble those up.

I’ve had certain “clowns” eat it in the past. You need to cut it into tiny bits and soak it in water or selcon before you feed it.

Then after its mush do i add into the tank and hope they eat it?

What if i cut up small pieces and feed it to them along with flakes?

Sure. Try just a little to see if they will eat it. If your clowns don't like it I wouldn't force the issue. Better to toss it or give it to someone else than hose your tank with too much nutrients trying to get your clowns to eat their peas and broccoli.

The formula 2 in the cubes or the flakes, beacuse the only one i saw at my lfs was flakes and it pretty much had the same labels as the formula one, i did see a bottle of spirulina flakes anybody have sucess getting there clowns to eat those?

I have two black and white occelaris clowns that eat from the clip. Greedy buggers would probably eat the rock if they could digest it.
