GHL Mitras Club

I completely agree 1 is way more than I need, but what I am trying to confirm is that 8" off the water is sufficient. I am ordering a tank mount for the light so I won't be able to raise and lower the light. I need to order the mount for the correct height out of the gate.

If you are talking about the custom Mitras Rack from Modular LED.ca I ordered one as well. I ordered the 8" version. GHL recommends ~7.9" ATW (20cm) and the 8" fixture would place the bottom of the lamp roughly 8.75 inches above the water line in my tank. That's where I have them hanging now and it is working well.

That is the one. They are the only ones I have found that have anything like it. I just ordered it so hopefully it should be here next week.

Don it sounds like you're getting all of your ducks in order! The next couple of weeks should be like Christmas for you :)

My tank is 60 x 30x 24. Just got done hanging the 3 x Mitras.

Thanks guys, this tank was made by AGE (Acrylic Glass Exihibits) out of Dallas Texas.

All the electrical lines were into my attic then drooped back into the sump room.

Here's a picture of the sump room wall behind the tank still not finished.

James; your 180G was a very beautiful tank when it was setup previously. Good to see you back. I know we are in for a treat with your new setup. You have a way with SPS corals and reefkeeping in general, so this will be a good test for the Mitras lights too.

PS, I know you must be busy with your kids etc, but please do start a build thread when you can.

I had to start over due to hurricane Ike and my house remodel. I can't wait to see how the corals look under the Mitras.

Very interested in how you like it, I am torn between 2 Mitras or 1 8x54w 2x75w led/t5 powermodule for my upgrade.

Use 3 Mitras, run ||| i have a similar size tank and ran mine that way. 2 should work but you would be limited with coral placement.
