GHL Mitras Club

This might sound like a dumb question but is there a way to completely turn on and off lights and controller? Or the only way is by unplugging disconnecting it?
 
I think in extras or system there is an option for all LEDs off.
I haven't pressed that button, but I assume that will turn them all off.
 
Sorry doesn't seem to work.
In system, energy options there is a setting all leds off but it must be for something else..

I'm still a ways away from having salt water in my system, but once I do, I'll take some readings.
Rodney did some par readings a few months back on this thread...

Funny, I didn't remember him only having one light on..
Now that I look at that set up, I realize I copied it!!
 
I got the Mitras mounted. It's suspended from the AI Vega mounting kit. I took a piece of 3/4"x1/8" flat stock aluminum and used part of the hanging kit as standoffs, to make a bracket. I think it looks pretty clean.

Now I just have to learn how to use it LOL I think the Windows UI can use some improvements to make it more intuitive and user friendly. Wish they would make one for OS X as that's my preferred platform.

I have to say, this fixture has a lot of power. I mean it's amazingly bright. However I wish there was a way to work on the programming without being connected to the fixture. I'd like to play with the interface and not have to be standing at the tank. Sitting at my desk is certainly preferable. I also think the Windows interface needs some dressing up, have a more user friendly and intuitive layout and maybe should even come with various lighting profiles installed. I think there's a big learning curve with this fixture. It's not plug and play. That's for sure.

There is a "wireless interface" in the works (no idea when) but I'm pretty sure it's designed to connect the Mitras to the GHL ProfiLux rather than Mitras to PC/iOS. GHL would have to confirm this though.

I know with the Radions there was a work-around some people found with a USB/Wireless Dongle. Maybe there is something similar that could be configured for the Mitras . . . .

Yes it is very possible, you can buy a Belkin wireless USB adapter, you plug the Mitra into the belkin and it connects to your computer through blue tooth!

Clownin have you gotten this to work? I have a few BT adapters laying around. Guess I'll give it a try. It would be nice if the software allowed for simulator mode and making a lighting scheme when it's not connected to the lamp, but this would certainly help.

Honestly I have not tried because my tank is right next to my couch! lol
But as Al said, i have seen it done with the radion and a USB is a USB, if done right it will work!

I havent seem any Belkins with BlueTooth...??? All of the ones I see are the Wifi over USB adapters...:crazy1:
