GHL Mitras Club

I know, I should of just drained it really. It'll never get back to the stage it was. It'll be emptied later in the year as I'm moving house and I'll be upgrading to a bigger tank.

This is it now.

I remember your tank...was an awesome setup...thats the thing: I know you are VERY good at SPS keeping...often times we can blame the reefkeeper for his lack of skills/patience etc when certain things arent working...but...that certainly isnt you.

So why isnt some of your Acros colouring up? I dont want to go off topic/derail the thread...so maybe start a thread in the SPS forum.

Thankx bud.

I cant really blame light 100% but, this is a new set up as well. been running since sept 2013. Dont get me wrong all LPS and acans doing awesome but SPS:(
This is my 4th tank over 13 years of reefkeeping and i am really struggling with this tank right now:))
I guess we off topic right now:)

Feel free to download and play with it.

Just uploaded your project, very interesting..i have a few questions.
why did you choose Iwasaki (6500k) early in the morning insted of let say between 12-2 pm ,in the ocean sun goes up around noon and stays up for a couple of hours. You have fast drop at noon and then goes up slowly again and stay the same between 3-5 pm..
do you run it at HO ?

I do run it ho.
The timing is basically for mento view the tank. The corals really don't care what the time of day is so running the 6500k lights when I am usually not in the office just means the corals get the light but I don't have to see it.

Right, time it doesnt matter...but, have you see any burn tip on ur SPS yet? Hopefully you will not.
how long have you been running this project?

I just bought two of these for my 160 gallon tank that I just started. I am very excited to get this thing going. Just waiting on the water to clear up from adding the sand so I can do my rock work.

I finally got the lights installed two days ago. I am very impressed with it but can anyone tell me if there is a way to turn this thing off? the blue light is on all night and the only way I can turn it off for now is if I turn off the led lights from the system menu.

Oh btw, I just got back to the hobby after 3 years (*_*). I really want to do it right this time that is why I bought the right products. I will post a pic of my setup up as soon as I could.

It sounds like you have your Moonlight settings on and maybe a bit too high. If the moon is out (any intensity) then your moonlights will be on. You can tone them down ( a lot it sounds like) in the software.
