Gigs with mini red carpet.

Has anyone kept mini red carpets(not haddoni) and gigs successfully. I've heard the mini reds keep to themselves and being they are both carpets I was thinking this might work well. I've kept haddoni and maxi mini's successfully Let me know if you have had success.

I have both Tapetum Maxi and Tapetum mini together with my Gigantea. They are touching without problem for 9 months now.

Thanks Minh. I'm gonna buy a mini red carpet to go in with the two gigs. I'm thinking the tank has been doing great and with an observant eye it should be ready next week.

You're not talking about your 45 gallon tank are you? Two gigs alone are a tight squeeze.

True. Hmmm. I was thinking the little guy would find a tiny spot. It is the size of a 50cent piece, and has been for 5 months. It's not a haddoni but a dwarf version that maxs out at 2". So I thought it wouldnt take much space especially since I don't plan on having any corals. But if it's still not a good idea let me know.

I think it's fine to have one gig and a bunch of mini maxis. I just think two gigs will quickly outgrow your tank. You will literally have wall-to-wall carpet. :thumbsup:
