Why not try what's the harm in trying?
What's the harm?... Dead fish tell no lies!
Why not try what's the harm in trying?
In your opinion do fresh water dips work? That seems to be one of the excepted forms of treatment.
Why not try what's the harm in trying?
The ginger did not work for me. Had a tang came down with Ick, mixed 3/4 teaspoon with the food, let it soak for 30 minutes then added to the tank. The ginger did not affect anything in the tank, and did not help the tang -no difference at all. RIP tang.
Are you also going to try ginger instead of going to a hospital if you get a heart attack? There are many scientists who have worked on this issue. Many who are probably working today. They've found treatments that work. Use their knowledge instead of roots and hearsay.
There are no birth control methods for men because it is assumed the female's responsibility, and in most cases it turns out to be that way. There are loads more single mom's than there are single dads. Stopping those tens of thousands of sperm can be done quickly and easily with a safe and effective one time treatment that the majority of men will never undertake, regardless of the numerous health problems associated with the birth control methods employed by their spouses, both mental and physical and regardless of their desire to have more children (being female in a male dominated hobby, I felt obligated to post this)
other than that, and what t i previously noted on this thread, I agree with you.
+1
All these REEF SAFE cures are chased by hobbyist who "Don't want to tear apart their DT and leave it fallow". There are proven QT methods to eliminate this parasite and to keep your DT free from it. I had to pay that price for breaking my QT regimen one time. These nasty bastards are only vulnerable in their swimming stage. So think about it, your water column at that point needs to have a certain level of toxicity to kill 100 percent of them. Such as the level of copper needed to maintain a 100 percent kill rate. It's sort of like birth control, why is there no birth control pill for males?? Much easier to control one egg in a female versus killing tens of thousand sperm. That's why the fish farm industry is working on a vaccine which blocks the little ich swimmers ability to attach to a host to complete it's life cycle. Do you really think feeding garlic, ginger or some random herb is going to achieve this?

Any updates from the few that are trying this?
