glass thickness

Hi. I have a peacock mantis that's now about 3 inches long. He resides in a 20G acrylic tank that is plumbed into a 700G system and I'd like to get him something a little bigger. I'd prefer to go with glass but want to ensure it's thick enough to home him safely. Would appreciate advice from those who know better than me, how thick do I need to go? Thanks. Andrew

realistically he will never break glass within the thickness of any 30gal plus tank. Roy has said that the only times peacocks have ever chipped glass have been when they hit the same spot multiple times as they try to dig in a tank that is too small.

With 700 gallons you will never have to worry about him hitting the glass. The only likely reason he would is if he is trying to dig and there isn’t enough sand. How deep is the bed?

That is still highly unlikely.
