Forgot about that banner! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

My departed father-in-law gave me the Miller Lite sign. You'll need to pry it from my cold, dead hands ๐Ÿ˜‚

Two Men & A Truck (4 actually) coming Monday to take the tank downstairs. I'll assemble the stand this weekend. Then progress slows again. Vacation, then get the slabs fabricated & in place, finish 80/20 cantilevered light mount design & purchase that & lights. Then put it on the stand plumb it. I do have my 30 yr old ๐Ÿ˜‚ dry rock wet now, in a barrel with saltwater, a powerhead & heater & I dumped some bacteria in there. It's cooking!

Canโ€™t wait to see more progress. This is exciting.

Iโ€™m born in and have lived in the STL area my whole life (except college). So, weโ€™re local to each other. If you need anything, let me know.

Also, my regular beer is Miller Lite. I know that sounds funny from a STL native but, Iโ€™m allergic to something in Bud products. If I drink just one, I get a horrible sinus headache.

Lovely dog! We love dogs too! We have an old English Bulldog. We like to travel & she beats herself up with guilt when we leave.

She once said we need to just get a fish tank so I can go on vacation without feeling guilty. I said, *I can arrange that"! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Stand in place where it is going. Now vacation. And I need it! I'll give dimensions for the slabs to the shop, they'll have them done when I get back. Peel carpet back, install slabs, cut & tuck the carpet to it, that part will be done & on to next steps (80/20 mount/lights & plumbing).

Remember when salt came in buckets? ๐Ÿ˜‚ Long vacation, then Covid, now starting to ramp up again. Plumber coming next Saturday to move the water heater & plumb the slop sink. Scrapped the 80/20 light bar, will suspend an RMS light bar with 3 Radions & 2 Kessil for the shimmer. Slab floor/wall pieces in the works. Hoping to plumb the tank in the next 45 days or so then time to get it wet!

lol, I used Coralife buckets for many years (early 99โ€™s) and got the free t-shirts. Until, I got two bad buckets (super low Alk, super high calcium) from two separate batch numbers in a row. Been using IO for a while now/

Ah yes! The free t-shirts ๐Ÿ˜‚ At 6ft 10in, 300lbs not a one of those damn shirts ever fit me! I gave them all away! They should make Big & Tall salt buckets! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Same used that salt till I had a bucket with no alk. IO now.

I just saw a post and a picture of a reefer 250 fail today. This is not just a few tanks its a ton. The company tried to bury it and was deleting post and used another social media site to try and silence people. I would not support this company ever. All this loss of livestock. People floors ruined.

They deserve to go out of business. I would trust this company zero percent with any of my tanks.

If they would have fessed up and recalled the tanks I would be ok but to still deny their is a issue.
Im doing research on which brand tank system to buy and saw your post about Red Sea. Can you recommend another brand that is of better quality?

I'm curious too. I'm still interested in a tank upgrade this fall/winter. I don't wan to run anything bigger than my 40g that I have now, but would love the integrated sump/fuge.

I been researching on Cade systems and like the Frag 900/f don't mind the extra cost as long it doesn't have a reputation like Red Sea. I live in an apartment complex and can't chance on questionable stands and tanks. My 22-year-old 80-gallon acrylic tank just got broken down and I plan to spend the next six months saving and preparing for the Cade.
