Glover Family Reef 475G DT 640G TSV

Looking great. Glad that there are still some companies out there with good customer service. So rare to find these days. Kitchen looks fantastic, but the tank looks even better under the LEDs.

I'll Try and post some updated pictures today. Have added several corals and plan to get the rails mounted for the canapy today.

1/11/13 Update:

Guess its time for an update.... Not much on that front with Christmas and 8 radions taken I big bite out of the bank account. Next Friday I'll be looking to find a Purple Tang and a couple SPS Frags. Figured I give some feedback on the past purchases now that they have been up and running for a bit.

8 Radions - No complaints.. Echotechlive seems to be a bit clonkie but sure it will get better with time. Timers have gotten off a few times on 2 lights but a simple turning them off and back on fixes the issue.

2 MP60 - Amazing. These thing move a ton of water and with an APEX unit are incrediable. I even have a tide switch programmed in ever 6 hours with a 10 minute feed mode. Was sure I would need 2 MP 40's but if anything I have had to make adjustments to decrease flow into certain areas.

SRO XP5000EXT - Man does that thing do a fine job. What more can be said. Bio load is still to small for it to really be pulling out lots of poop!

SRO Bio Pellet Chamber - Seem to be keeping all paramaters in check just fine.

APEX Controller - Still haven't set up access so I can get to it everywhere and need to calibrate the salt probe. Sounds like a good project for the weekend. Bottom line that sums it all up is "I do not know how I had a tank with out one of these for all these years, especially a smaller tank that is subject to more rapid swings in parameters."

Reef flo return - Pump has worked perfectly and have battled some small drips from connections around the pump, but as expected. I currently have the 1.5 inch return divided into 4 1 inch returns into the tank. Well the flow coming out isn't exactly hard, so I was thinking about eliminating the 2 center ones which would clean up the view into the tank. Think I can just cap it and see what I think. Darn, bet the floor will get wet and me too, trying to do that. I'll see If I can post a picture of what I'm talking about tonight.

Good looking set up. Did glasscages recommend you setting the tank of a piece of foam or other level surface on they stand?
Glad to hear about the customer service as I think I might go with them on my next build coming soon

Sorry for the long vacation. Yes u need a piece a foam under the tank. So the tank is going good I will get some pictures up when I can. But set back today. Thought adding an Imperior Angel would be a good plan. Well he has been munching on my corals and now the fun of getting him out of the DT. Oh I know I should have known better to buy with out researching him. Ugh.

Finally sold the angel and he is out of the tank. Time to stop thinking of this as a fish tank and start thinking of it as a coral tank. Will get some pictures posted this week.
