I feed using a pipette to help reduce waste and it doesn't take the fish long to figure out that the pipette equals dinner. Today AFTER feeding the fish, I was feeding my mini carpets and half of my neon goby pair got greedy. She swam right into the nem.:eek2:
I was able to grab her by the tail and pull her off, but it wasn't easy. These nems are very sticky. Afterwards, she swam to the back corner of the tank. I got a quick look at her and she had several white marks all along her body. Also, there was a small piece of goby left on the anemone.
She disappeared almost immediately after that and I haven't seen her since. It's been almost 5 hours and usually she's out all the time.
So what are her chances of surviving? I love these guys and I feel terrible that this has happened.
