Going to Texas coast. What can I collect?

That was a great thread inigomontoya. Lots of tips and tricks on how and what to look for. I had no idea porcelain crabs could be found off the Tx coast. I'm adding those to the list.

Is it a bad idea to bring back natural sea water and use that for a water change? I'd only do it if I could collect from a pretty pristine place.

Yes. The water at Port A and Rockport will definitely not be good enough to use... And those porcelain crabs aren't the same ones you are thinking of from Florida. They look very similar but are a different species. They hide a ton more and are a lot faster. Smaller bodied too.

But I agree, it's too early to get a whole lot.
