Anybody want a gold headed sleeper gobbie. He is about four inches long, and way to big, and messy for my tank. If you have any ideas as to how to catch him that would be great. I tried the hook method, but i can't seem to hook him. I think I need a smaller hook, but i got the smallest wallfart had. Guess i need to try a trap. Well if anybody wants him let me know.

I will take him if you think he will get along in my 90 gal. I have mostly tangs and a scooter blenny in there. No gobbies. I saw one person had a trap made out of a soda bottle. Let me see if I can look it up.....Crystal

Ok....here is one method....

thats a new idea for me. i like that one. I'm trying the soda bottle one now. He didn't fall for it last month, but he may now.

i had him in the trap in under a minute, but i couldn't get the bottle out because my lion fish was sitting on top of it. By the time i got the lion to move he figured out how to get out. at least hes not afraid of it. should be easy now.

Ron,
When you catch him let me know and I will pick him up if the offer is still open. Just let me know and I can shoot on by. Thank you. Crystal

ill bring him to you no big deal. I will have him tonight. He has made the trap his home. Let me know what time is good for you.

Hey Ron,
If it is not to late I can come by or you can come by....if it is to late we can get together tomorrow....just let me know what is easier for you. 686-7913 Thanks, Crystal

Hey Ron,
I want to send ya a big THANK YOU! The goby is hiding a bit still but I think he will be ok....and the toadstool is already starting to come out. I moved those rocks in the front corner and he fits nicely. I am really sorry that I don't have anything to give you in return....I will keep you updated on the goby. Thanks again! Crystal

Is that what he was doing?.....little begger....but then when I did feed the tank he was no where to be found....thought even that maybe he tried to jump ship....looked everywhere but he has a really good hidin' spot. LOL he is really a cool fish hope that he decides to come out often. The leather is not opening up. How long will it take for them to adjust? It is getting a tiny bit bumpy but that's it. Crystal

It may take a while to get used to the lighting. I have kept him mostly in the dark for a while. If hes getting bumpy He should be fine. You have him where you said right? He hasn't been that close to lights in a while. He will adjust fine though. As far as the Goby he is a great hider. He usually finds the one dead spot in my tank, so he can catch "pods". He didn't get that fat from my direct feeding....LOL.

well, he hasn't been out today....but he has found a home under the rock on the far left, just where you said he was gonna go...the toadstool is getting bumps. Crystal
