Good anemone for Clarkii Clownfish?

There are numerous, but not sure if it would be good for your tank.

So, with that said,,,,

What size tank?
What lights?
What are your water parameters -- with numbers.
How long has the tank been set up?
Have you kept anemones before?
What all do you have in the tank?

Haddons Carpet Anemone, mine loves our carpet...

They host in all of the naturally occurring hosting species of anemone. With that said it depends on your personal preference, and whether or not your aquarium can support the certain anemone species you decide upon.

It's a 125g. I have 4-65watt power compact bulbs. It' been running for 3 months now. I have a few anemones in my other tank, but never had clarkii clowns before. Right now the tank just has some inverts, a sailfin tang and a couple of green chromis.

With those lights, I really don't see any hosting anemone working.

Size of the tank you are fine, but would really need to change your lights -- either T5's or MH, or a combo.

I have kept anemones with PC, but that was in a 75 with 6-65 PCs, and the anemones did a lot better after I switched to MH.

But, I have kept Clarkiis with an BTA (( E. Quadricolor )) LTA (( M doreensis )) and an S. Haddoni.

Agree, you're going to need to bump up on lighting.
My Clarki's accepted both my Sebae(crispa) and LTA(doreensis) and were awesome caretakers of both, always feeding both nems before eating for themselves.
Only bummer is when they began to spawn, they became extremely aggro to all fish, to the point of needing to be removed.

I was looking at the coralife power compact units. They have 2 units. The first one has 4-96 watt bulbs. The second has 6-96 watt bulbs. How would either of these two work for them? Thanks

I think when they say bump up the lighting they mean to a multi bulb (like 4-6) T5 HO unit or go metal halides....I don't know if bumping up the wattage of the PC's will do all that much....I know they would love a Metal Halide setup...for sure:beer:

Your definately going to need more lighting and your going to want to let your tank mature some more.

I would not spend any $$ for power compacts myself, T5's would be much better(what I run) and some prefer MH, but that is a whole other debate.

Was wondering though if power compacts put out more wattage than t-5 units. Would'nt I be better off with the power compact units?

The Par value is greater w/ T5's, and less heat, more efficient overall than PC's.
People have been moving away from PC's for some time now.

And if you do go with T5's, make sure the unit has individual reflectors, otherwise you are missing out on a lot of the advantage of T5's over PCs.

Another problem is that PC bulbs are getting harder to find. If the trend continues, PC fixtures will be useless because you won't be able to find bulbs for them.
