What is growing next to my Zoa's? Looks like a sponge and taking over Zoa's.

I'm not entirely sure what they are, but if you are concerned with them affecting your zoa you can separate them and decide what to do later.

can't really tell, does it look like this?

I had a sponge start growing under my zoas and it's slowly taking over.

It looks like a sponge. Generally a good thing to have but if it gets much larger and starts to cover the zoas you can use a tooth brush to remove it.

I would like to remove the sponge but affraid I would spread sponge spores all over the tank. The Zoa's are sitting on a frag disc. I am going to lift the disk and move. Hope the Zoa's left behind attached to the rock survive.

You should be so lucky! Sponges are one of the hardest things to keep in most aquariums. And they are filter feeders so they help clean the water.

I'd try to 'peal' it off the rock and without taking it out of the water, which will start a slow 2 to 6 week long death, move it somewhere else in the tank and hope it survives.

To Ron's point...sponges can't ever be out of the water. Zoas can. So if you really don't want it (though they're cool...I have a load of them that came in on my TBS rock and doing well), I suppose you could take the rock out of the tank for a couple minutes and put it back in...
