Goodbye Charlie!

Our Vlamingii Tang Charlie found a new home yesterday.

He has moved just a few miles away to a 750G system. He will rule a 500G display tank...
We'll miss him at feeding time... he was trained to eat from our fingers and enjoyed being "petted" at chow time.

Though Charlie will be irreplaceable, the search is on for a 4"-6" Achilles Tang...

I've known how you wanted to find him a new home for a while now so we should all be happy for Charlie. You must be sad, but that's really good news for him. Is he going to anyone we might know?

He was a tiny little squirt a couple of inch's or so at best, when I got him, really glad to see that he is going to a good home, I had that comfort when you got him. Your photos above were shocking to me, he really looks much bigger now, you said pan-size look again he appears to much bigger than that lol.
Our tank was never the same after we gave him to you, we were never able to get another fish to actually let us pet him, eat from our fingers ect. One of the fond memorys I have of that fish actually irritated me at the time, was the fact that anytime I went to the tank to look at the other inhabitants, he would get right in my face and I could never see anything else, just hanging out saying hi ect, it was a pain at the time, but looking back, he was just happy to see anyone who wanted to see him, a great personality to have in the tank. I truly hope he lives a long life.
Your stewardship did that animal justice, nice job all the way to the end!

The gentleman who got Charlie lives just a few miles from us. I don't know if he is on RC. I was introduced to him by the OKCFishLady. :)

Thanks for the memories, Greg. That is how we will remember Charlie...he was as curious of us as we were of him... following us around the room with that big "stink eye" if we didn't put the seaweed out right on time...
