Got back into my old hobby

After nine years of missing my old hobby i am dipping my foot in the salt water again. I swore i was done with it but it keeps bringing me back in. I have had bikes my whole life and left the sport after i broke my ankle really bad on a motocross track. I have had dirtbikes and street bikes. CBR..... ZX..... R1..... YZ..... KX...... yada yada yada. Well my wife said i shouldn't let something like a broken ankle keep me from doing something I love. Without further ado, i present to you, my new Aprilia Shiver 750.....


 
What did you say to get her to say yes to a new bike? Even with a new baby? I have been working on the mrs. For almost 10yrs now. Give me some tips :)

I'm kinda am a lucky guy! Her family is into motorcycles too. For the record, she is the one who talked me into the bike. Didn't have to say a word. :dance:
 
You gotta come back by one of these days and bring your wife. My wife talked me into it.... maybe just maybe it could work twice! :beer:
 
Very nice. I sold my 09 R1 in 2012 to help put her through nursing school. Now that she is making good money, I have permission to get a brand new bike in June or July. Initial considerations are an R6, cbr, 675r or maybe even the new mid size duc.

Congrats on the ride. I miss my bike a lot.
 
Trying to talk my wife into letting me get a Spyder I know it's not crazy high end but I've wanted to start riding with my brother.

He bought a million life insurance policy. My friend have a bike that his wife barely let him ride after he got policy he can ride whenever he wants Cuz if anything does happen to do while riding the policy would be enough to help out wife and to raise kid till she's done with college assuming wife doesn't go spend all of it
 
Man almost there. Maybe this summer. She's not to happy with the ride I would make most of the time. My work highway is a known death trap. 40 accidents a yr with 5 deaths or more. But I'm still trying. I want the Spyder Sport RS.
 
I've noticed a lot of us reef enthusiasts are also motorbike lovers... Just me or anyone else notice that? Lol
