Man is this some NICE rock, and seems to be heavier than just 30 more lbs. :)

I'll have pics up as soon as the water clears!

Thanks for the extra critters Richard! Well worth the slight delay while you fixed your boat. Glad you are back!

Here are some preliminary pics. Just finished aclimating the critters. As you can see the snails have already started having some fun!

Here's the surprise Condy I had in my critter box! [Thanks again Richard!]

Here's the other surprise anemone, anyone know which one this is? Bubble tip maybe?

Here's a view of the entire tank, still clearing up. You can also see the shaving brush algae Richard added.

And another view of the yet to be identified anemone.

I'll post more pics later with some closeups as soon as the water clears up a bit more.

Yeah, I have it on my todo list. Pick up some shrimp from the grocery store.

One of the guys I work with suggested the smaller shrimp that are used in salads and such.

or just get any low cost raw shrimp and run it thru a food processor for a second. or chop by hand with a big knife.
when it's choped take a gallon food bag and put the mess in there... spread it out as thin and even as you can, then tie the end / zip lock closed. lay in frezer flat for a few hours till frozen.

then take out a crunch up into small bits and re-seal and store.

this can last a while, gives you small bits to feed as needed.
and it's really cheap!

Ok, now here's something strange. On my way out the door to head to work this morning I noticed the Condy was kinda sucked into itself. Kinda like a folded up tube sock.

Is this natural?

Yes--mine does it all the time, then it comes back and sometimes looking better than ever.

The condy that came with mine order does the same thing. At night it gets really really big and long. then it during the day it is still big but not long. It will get really small after it eats and needs to get rid if the waste. it makes itself small to push the waste out of it's mouth.

I think mine ate 2 of my shrimp that came with my order. so a free $3 anemone ended up eating $18 bucks in shrimp. I am not convinced that is a trade off.

oh, I feed it often. several times a week. and a big ole chunk of mysis shrimp too. not sure why he still wanted to eat my shrimp. well i still have one.
