Gray Angel attacking H. magnifica

Crud. I've noticed that my mag has left it's mouth open for the last few days. And, I think I figured out why....

My gray angel has been nipping at it. I can move the Angel to another tank with BTA and Tomato Clowns to guard them. I started some frags in that tank, but I can either move or sacrifice them.

Or, what if I get Percula's? Would they guard the mag? Not sure I can do this fast enough.

ideas?

I wouldn't trust a grey with the anemone. Big angels can be really destructive and H. Magnifica's are already delicate as it is.

i was gonna say....

Get a more aggressive clown pair and that angel will be hiding in a crevis. My perideraions were like that, and I've had Clarkiis that behaved the same way.

Getting a pair of clowns to protect your anemone is a Long shot to say the least. You can't predict how a clown is going to behave. I've had a female ocellaris that would viciously attack anything that came near her anemone, and I have a monster maroon that doesn't really care. Even with those clowns that do protect their anemones, it usually takes a long time for them to get that territorial. I think that the only hope your magnifica has is for you to get the angel out of the tank.

Thanks. I'll get him moved to my other tank with BTA with a pair of tomato clowns. The female has a murderous look in her eye.

After that, I'll need to give something up or acquire another tank.

Moved. He's still stressed from the move, but I think he'll be more comfortable without being harassed by the tangs. I'll have to build him a larger cave this weekend to sleep in and get away from the MH's.
