Green BTA is splitting!

Hey guys my green bubble tip is currently splitting as I type. I have had the parent for about 3 weeks, and has been very healthy. I have been feeding it chunks of squid and clam about twice a week and it eagerly accepts. A few days ago it moved toward the back of my tank in a sheltered area and this morning I noticed that it was splitting. It appears to be a very healthy split (both are of about equal size) and I hope it is splitting for the right reasons. I think it will be done with the process within the next few hours. Is there any specific care that I should be doing for the parent and its clone after the split?? I would like to sell the clone to my LFS for a credit, so when would be the appropriate time to do that? How long should I wait?....Thanks a lot I appreciate any help and insight because this has never happened to me before.

I would guess the combination of being new, and feeding that heavy may have made it split due to stress.
Heavy feeding often induces splitting.
I'd probably back off a little on that.
As soon as split is complete you could pull one to trade it.

My nem only gets a very small piece of scallop spot fed like once a month, if that, but it does pick up mysis when feeding fish.
Really as long as light is good you don't have to spot feed much, and some don't spot at all.

o ok i wasnt aware of that. ive heard a lot of varied opinions when it comes to feeding nems. i think i will definitely cut back on the feedings though. i have a biocube hqi with a 150w phoenix 14k bulb so lighting isnt a problem. ill keep the thread updated on how the split goes and post some pictures when i get around to it.
