Green Carpet Anemone

Well today after I got out of school I stopped at my LFS which is 1 mile from the University and bought green carpet anemone. Its a Haddoni Green Carpet. Here are a couple of pictures, it's still in the acclimation process. I will post pictures of it once I put it in the tank.

At the LFS it had it's mouth completely closed, but when I got home it had it like it is in the pictures. That won't be a problem right?:(

The anemone fully open its about 4-6 in, I got it for $45

That looks about normal for a haddoni when it's being moved around. Looks pretty good. I like the reddish looking color around the mouth.

wow that is a VERY good price....... around here in Boston that will fetch around 100-150.
Good luck with it man, i too love anemones, and colorfull carpets are my best favorites. We should have a club for anemone owners :)

Here are some pictures that I took when I put in the tank... IT decided to stick to a rock... but it has moved a little bit closer to the sand...

I have a question.... In order make the color pop out more should I put more actinic bulbs?

I have two Actinic Bulbs of 96w each and 2 - 250w 14k MH Bulbs

Damn theses Ocellaris Clowns must love carpets... My bigger clown ( the female ) it's already sleeping inside the anemone. I will try to get pics

Thank... The Haddoni it's doing great, The mouth is tight and it's been like that since I put it in the tank. I didn't think it was gonna do this good.

I have some bad news... Not about the Carpet but about one of my Ocellaris Clowns.

I had to take my clowns out of the tank because I purchased a pair of Black nd White Ocellaris to replace the Orange nd White Ocellaris because I liked the black's and white a lot more. I had the Orange nd white clown in my sump for a couple of days and then I decided to take a risk and put them back in the tank with the Black nd White pair. Last night I got the male Orange and White Clown and put him back in the tank and the pair of Black nd White didn't attack him or anything they even try sleeping together ( all 3 clowns). So since it went so well this morning I got the other White nd Orange Clown ( The Female ) and I put her back in the tank and as soon as she was in the water the others went to meet her and nobody attacked her either. I was really happy that they were all getting along.

The pair of Orange and White Ocellaris were hosting on the Green Carpet before I took them out. So the female Orange nd white clown went back to the carpet and as soon as it touched the carpet it got stuck and the carpet ate her... I was so disappointed because my two pair of clowns were getting along and all of a sudden my carpet eats one of them.
