Green Hornets?

Thank you, that's exactly what I said. Correct me if I am wrong, but are these not L.A. Lakers? And aren't Hornets rings much thinner, with the named color (Red, Blue or Purple) being the primary color?

People will try anything to cash out these days...

That's what I was saying. Then I have a guy telling me I'm basically full of it on another thread.

Here is his reponse to me:

That is too funny. So now there is "criteria" for naming a zoanthid color morph? Please show me this list of requirements. Just remember, someone got in a shipment of zoas and decided to name them, then everyone decided to give them names. They are not a seperate species. 10-15 yrs ago you bought zoas...period. They didn't have names, only colors

Yes...that is exactly what I said. Anyone care to prove me wrong and show me this so called "criteria" for naming any zoas? It MUST HAVE....??????? Someone decided to give a colorful zoa a name. It caught on. Now it's silly with all the exotic names.

I also don't understand the "cashing in" or "making money" comments. I never bought any corals from the vendor and have no affiliation with them at all, but he is selling a 20 polyp frag for $25. That's "cashing in"? How much do LA Lakers go for?

A 20 polyp frag of L.A. Lakers for $25.00 is not that bad. If it was $25.00 per polyp using a "Hornet" type name then yes it would be cashing in and total BS.

As for the naming thing. Well it's common practice to name certain types following common sense standards. A "hornet" would need to have a ring and an alternating skirt. Just like a "people eater" would have a green mouth.
