Your pics look great to me! I don't keep my tank blue, there's enough of that before & after the main lights are on. I always use the flash & if I need to adjust white balance I do it with a pic program. Since we turned the whites down in the 20L, I've taken to turning them back up to take pics & back down when I'm done & then I don't have to do much in editing.
 
Jesse, have you tried using the flash with only the blue lights on? You get a good color pop but it still is lit up. I've done that a few times. The only thing is you have to do it right after the whites go out or everything starts to close up LOL. I'll look for one of my pics & post it in a bit.

Yep. In the morning I'll shut down the pumps and turn all the lights on. Wait about a half hour then turn off the halides. Everything is out and you get the "pop".
