griss' Tank Upgrade Thread

I dont want to speak about but the good way is to leave it without 1 or 2 times to not feed by food and next day be sure will enter in catch if you place one tablet food inside. Even if you catch 2 of them no issue to release. Try.

I’ve been leaving it in the tank the whole time. At feeding time, I put a cube of frozen food in the trap.

Went through diatoms, then Dinos that are starting to abate and now Cyano. So, I’m progressing through the ugly stage.

Filefish is finally eating Aiptasia. Some of the Zoas I moved had a few and he knocked them out. All livestock doing well so far. Here’s a few pics at feeding time.

Looks great! Cooking up well I see!
As for trapping a six-line, good luck, he’s a smart fish, and fast and agile swimmer.
He might dive in at one point but unless your sitting while it happens and your fast on the trigger, he can be in and out in seconds. Is he being a problem.?

I have never caught anything in a fish trap except slow stuff like crabs.
Fish just seem to stare at the trap for me.
Made a harpoon from elastic and wood meat skewer.
Got a gorilla crab with that. Lucky shot.

Only the net worked for me but that’s without much corals.
Now, once a fish is in, until he dies, he’s in.
