Ground breaking thoughts for ich treatment

ok not huge but huge for me, could i treat my display tank, which is completely invert free, with paraguard for 3 weeks dosing everyday and kill the ich parasite from my system? also will it stain my acrylic? I've read online that it will not stain the tank, but just curious, I'm excited that this malachite green medicine could eliminate my ich problem once and forall....it is a very small infestation and actually is only present in the gills at this time...as far as I know.

I had an obvious outbreak, very minimal but a spot is a spot, so i treated the whole tank with chloroquine phosphate for 4 weeks. at the 4 week mark i still had a few spots on my blue hippo so i ended treatment with uv light, water changes and carbon. well, after that all the spots were gone and that was 8 days ago. So no knew spots, no flashing, but i can't lead myself to believe I got the parasite out of the system completely.

Paraguard is essentially "designer formalin." Since formalin is not a recommended treatment for Cryptocaryon, I wouldn't rely on it, nor would I treat the DT with it. UV has little impact on parasite load, so in all likelihood you still have the parasite present if you observed spots a week or so ago.

So can I just not treat, not add any new fish and until I upgrade to a bigger tank and will have the space to qt all the fish and have to remove them from the tank, keep them healthy in this tank?

many people do just that. just keep up good husbandry in the meantime. consistency, consistency, consistency. that is your best friend in a routine ich management plan!
