GROUP BUY - Reef Radiance

Bought 2 of these almost 2 years ago on ebay. One stopped working about a month ago and the other just quit this past weekend. I bought the rapidled Onyx light to replace the first one. The Reef Radience light was to replace the 2nd. Of course, it had to crap out BEFORE the new light comes in AND while i'm on vacation! :angryfire:

(DRThomson), I had no problems what so ever with my Reef Radiance order and received my lights as scheduled. If you need your light ASAP I have two brand new in the box, you are more than welcome to take one of my lights and when your order comes in I will pick it up or have Rick ship the light to my address. We might need to check with Rick to see if he can do that.
 
The reason I am upset::mad2:

Aug 4th: I received a tracking number from you and email telling me my light was shipped.

Aug 6th (2 days later): an email telling me you cant print your shipping label but my light was ready and you would ship it as soon as you could resolve the "printing" problem.

Aug 9th: I receive the email below.

Please send ASAP, this light is not for a new build or an extra light. I am short a light and cant go much longer without a replacement.

Please, this time DO NOT send me shipping information on my light until you actually have shipped my light.

David, I have explained this several times to you and sent you numerous emails and am comfortable with how this was handled. Rick

I got my light from Rick in just a few weeks and it has been fantastic so far. Also got my pump from him in a week so I ordered another.

Sorry that some people are having problems but Rick has been nothing but solid for me. Give him a chance to make things right.

I would never ask anyone to post negative comments. Also, I am friends with many of the locals who post here and are members of FMAS.

Dave, I did not say that you were. I am reasonably concerned when someone posts a negative and I do not recognize the name. If Doreo purchased a light and has an issue, then we have no record of it. Every FMAS product - except yours - has been shipped from this forum. We have no record of this person at all - but if he purchased it under a different name - then we want to fix whatever issue he has. I think it is best to wait until he provides the name he purchased the product under? Then we can figure out what exactly is going on.

Received my lights in great condition. Been meaning to post pics but haven't had a chance. Will do so as soon as I can.

I spoke to Rick personally on the phone and he answered all my questions and was honest about shipping times, etc. before I purchased lights.

I received two tracking numbers, one with the order that went to him from the factory and another when it was shipped out to me. I also received an update every step of the way.

And when they lights arrived, there was a 27pt(?) checklist that Reef Radiance runs through to ensure the lights were in working order. That service can't be beat.

That said, every one makes mistakes. It's how they make up for it that matters. From what I've seen on this thread, Rick has done what he could to fix the issue. But, Rick, I do admit, that last comment could be perceived the wrong way.

I do not know Dr. T but have seen various posts from him on FMAS and I can honestly say that ime, he has always been polite and shared good knowledge on this forum.

This seems to be nothing more than a misunderstanding that would better be solved by a quick phone call instead of aired out spanish novella style on a public forum.

Again, personally, I will gladly buy from Rick again anytime! It was one of my better Group Buy shopping experiences and I appreciate everything he did to make it work including the price.

Rick will go above and beyond to satisfy his customers, some things are beyond his control but if you give him the time, he will make things right...

we have been in contact via email, im the one who got his package "lost" and am waiting for fedex to make it right before i continue the actions we discussed. I have not posted negativity only that we have similar luck, which if you recall my situation is pretty similar. A negative post would be my previous post that i had taken down till we figure this out if we can :)

I hate FedEx, they are the worst carrier in my area, I've ordered coral from a guy in Colorado and he had to print out a map to my house and tape it to the shipping box so they could find me...

now this is a guy in Colorado who's never been to this area is giving directions to FedEx drivers who live in my area...

and FedEx claims they couldn't find me even though they drive by my house regularly, I guess maybe they were lost then too....

even the UPS guy makes fun of their lack of direction, UPS was a little late getting here once and apologized, said he was giving the FedEx driver directions on how to get back to town and it ran him a bit late LOL

a lost shipment from FedEx is also out of Ricks control but hopefully you can get things straightened out, Rick will do all he can to help resolve it

really sucks though man, sorry you're have issues too

great news....Rick is an awesome guy, one of the best vendors I've ever purchased anything from and he'll go above and beyond to try to make you happy with your purchase, can't wait to see what you think about your purchase once it arrives

Yes Dave is a very cool guy - sending him a replacement today and a Seneye to try out for a month. Hopefully by MACNA he will be an expert and can tell everyone to buy one!...:wave:
