Love your quote, its true..... How people make up for their mistake is what matters.

If you F up, you should go above and beyond to fix the problem, even if a 3rd party you deal with has caused it. Rick offered apology, original product, and a discount, along with good honest customer service and great deals for this forum. You will succeed with loyal, truth worthy customers like this.

Dave is a great guy, sorry your light blew out on you and you had problem with shipping. Hope the new one works out.

Im tempted to get a few of these lights, Dave Ill have to check your out one day

Rick, your product might be good but why is it that in so many forums throughout the web every time you have a sale, the member "redtop03" AKA "Willie McDaries" happens to push your products." In one particular site redtop03 appears to actually work for Reef Radiance. I don't have a problem with you offering discounted deals as marketing but why deceive us by using redtop03 as a happy customer when it looks like he either works for you or is getting a kick back.

If anyone is interested, just google Reef Radiance and open up all of the different forums and you'll see redtop03 pushing Reef Radiance. I'm not going to mention a particular forum but in one redtop03 appears to start a thread as if he works for Reef radiance.

I don't work for Rick but I have been helping him around the forums because he is new at this but you can ask any of Ricks customers here what kinda guy he is....

my word is probable meaningless to those who don't know me and I can understand that, but I am not a liar and I don't really appreciate you insinuating that I am, but I understand where you're coming from as well

according to the forum that I appear to be an employee, it was required by their rules that I be on Ricks sponsorship in order to help him, he has talked to the Admin here about me as well...

there's no intent of deception from either me or Rick...I posted pics of my tank in this thread on the first page, you can look at the DM132e lights compared to my halides, you can decide for yourself whether you like 'em or not, what I say about 'em is irrelevant, but if I had been disappointed in them, I would have posted that as well...and I am a very satisfied customer

Willie is a customer -who liked our products and has a lot of time on his hands and posts as a favor to me. He is listed as " REEF RADIANCE " in the forums we sponsor as that is the specific guideline that you are supposed to follow when you have a friend ( as Willie has become ) or paid person - as Willie is not. We spoke with ownership on all forums before he started posting for us and they know the relationship and are very happy that we have our company name listed when he is posting - just like mine. I think a bigger concern might be the other sponsors who use " shills " they know who they are - that do not follow this very ethical guideline. Our products and prices sell themselves - but it is great to have someone help me attend to the forums we are on.

First of all, you mention in the above quote, "We spoke with ownership on all forums before he (redtop03) started posting for us and they know the relationship and are very happy that we have our company name listed when he is posting - just like mine." Show me where he mentioned your company name on his posts in this thread or any other except for the ones that he actually admits to work with you. I'm sure many readers did not know your relationship with him.

All I am saying is that if redtop03 is helping you promote the business in any way then just be up front with us. I actually stumbled across redtop03 while trying to gather more information on the web for your LEDS because I was interested in them.

It's obvious from the responses from people that bought your products that they are satisfied. I don't want this thread to get out of hand so I no longer will be posting to it.

I just want to say, I know first hand that starting a business is difficult especially in a very competitive market and I wish Reef Radiance much success.

if you look in Rick's forum where I have started several threads highlighting several Reef Radiance products, it should be apparent that I'm helping Rick or just google Reef Radiance, the threads that I've started will show up, it's not hidden from anybody, I've never pretended to be unassociated in any way or tried to deceive anyone....

when I brag about the products I've purchased from BRS or Marine Depot no one seems to point out that I must be an employee, the only products that I've actually promoted are the ones I've actually purchased....

I convinced Rick to give forum sponsorship a try because I liked his lights and more so the prices, I hoped he could help the cash strapped crowd like myself with great deals on his lights, but if anyone feels I've tried to deceive them in anyway, I am truly sorry, it was not my intent to deceive anybody, just trying to help out fellow reefers and friends

just to be sure that everybody knows my relationship with Reef Radiance, I updated my signature to include what I try to do...

I tried to include the Reef Radiance banner in my sig line when Rick first became a sponsor here but I don't have that option, nor can I post links in my sig line...

I just assumed that everybody knew from all my posts in the Reef Radiance forum that I was trying to help Rick and hopefully helping out a few other reefers by introducing them to Rick and Reef Radiance....

I don't think I've commented on, or tried to push any of Ricks products except for what I personally own myself and the fact that Rick gave me a great deal on my lights and he has done it over and over again for everybody here, Rick does a fine job promoting himself, I simply point it out :)

I don't think this thread is getting outta hand so post away, I will be honest though, it did bother me that you were insinuating I was conning someone but after thinking about it more, I do see your point, and it's good you're looking out for others here....

I hope this rectifies the situation and I hope there's no hard feeling from you or anybody here, and again, if anybody feels I've somehow conned them or misled them in any way, please accept my sincere apologies, it was definitely not my intention

No hard feelings here but many of us use only this local forum for all our information because we trust each other. Once you realized that you couldn't update the banner, if you had updated your signature like it is now before you started posting on this thread I wouldn't have had any problem. That's the only issue I had. I hope you understand where I'm coming from. Good luck to you and Reef Radiance.

I placed an order on 7/24 and have yet to receive my order. I think i would have paid the extra money to get it sooner from someone who had products in stock. Just my two cents.

yep, I understand and I would have had something there had I known anyone would think anything was deceitful about my posting on behalf of Rick, it just never crossed my mind and for that I do apologize...

I liked having my tank info in my sig but my space was limited to it or the Reef Radiance statement :)
