Looks like the picture is out of water? If so it doesn't look like an anemone because it's too rigid. Could be feather dusters or worms. A pic in the water might be more helpful.

When it is in the water look for thin clear tubes coming out of it and moving around. It might take a while for them to come out since they will be stressed.

could be vermeted snails or whatever- there is different kinds these ones arnt making the spiral shells like other have shown. it could be feather dusters you have to put it in the water and see if they put out strings.

hm,....i dont see anything extending from them. i just picked some off, they are translucent and are hollow...i can squish them flat. ill keep an eye on them. i googled hyroid but didnt see anything like it...

I agree on the hydriods. I have them in my tank that I'm constantly fighting.

well i guess to be on the safe side, ill pick them off .... and torch that area of the rock? id rather be safe than sorry and get an early start on the battle. :)

thanks guys!

+1 to hydroids. colonial hydroids i think.

if you can, you should remove them from the rock b/c they annoy corals. just use a screw driver or something pointy to dig just underneath their base and scrape them off.
