How are weekends for you? I have in-laws that live in Wooster. You would give me a good excuse to leave the next gathering. :bum:

Hi GSMguy!
Great tank. Love the colours and aquascaping! Congrats.
I'm getting a similar tank and was just wondering if you think this will be ok?
Tank - 36x18x18
Sump - 18x12x12
Skimmer - Deltec AP600 to be gravity fed
Flow - 2 Seio1500s, 2 Seio 820s (92x turnover)
Lighting - 1 Single Ended 400W 14k with 2 t5 Actinics
I already have all the equipment above except the tank, stand and sump.
The tank will be barebottom and predominantly SPS. I see you are using sand. How much did you use, and do you run a phosphate reactor? I'm thinking by seeing your pics that I may go with sand, so I can get a leopard wrasse.
Also, what and how many fish do you have in there?
What are your water parameters?
Sorry for the many questions but your tank has inspired me!
Cheers!

your tank sounds much better planned than mine.
if was going to change your setup at all i would say that with a 400w halide you cant have a tank with a center brace, so get the oceanic 58g reef ready that has no center brace also the oceanic tech tank 70 is a very nice tank.
I hate my sand so unless your dead set on Sand dwelling anemones i say stay BB. You already have that awsome skimmer to take care of the extra skimming needed.
i run sumpless so no reactors of any kind i ocasionally run Carbon in a canister filter besides that just the Deltec MCE 300 that i got recently to replace my remora.
Salinity 1.26
ammonia 0
nitrate 0
phosphate 0
ph beetween 8.2 and 8.3
Ca 420
alk 4.5
mg 1250

Thanks! Great water paremeters, esp that you have sand. I have a small apartment, so I'm getting a custom made 36x18x18, with no bracing. The glass will be 15mm thick.
I think I'll stay with BB.
So I guess you dose? How often do you dose magnesium, calcium and alk?
Cheers,

i think my ph stays stabil because of my large amount of flow you will have more than i do
custom WO bracing sounds amazing have you seen the AGE aquariums with pvc bottoms ?
indeed and here is something i have been waiting for for a month and a half nowOriginally posted by Amphiprion
It seems to be coming along nicely. Of course the anemones steal the show.
