Guess the color of this S. gigantea

Okay, okay. The three gigs are in a 30 gallon flat. Don't be alarmed. They are all under 5" and it's connected to a 150 gallon system. I just did a water change so the tank is cloudy. Photos to come. HAHAHAHAHA

Just like deflate gate... get asked a question and the real answers come out.

Or was that a news caster?

Okay here's an updated photo:

See any color yet? Though it looks "dirty" there actually is some zoox coming back -- the brown tinge is part of the nem.

Here's a shot for OrionN. The bleached gig (3") is on the left, followed by a green haddoni (4"), purple gig (5") at top right, blue (4") at bottom right:

It's my anemone "spa" where I am trying to replicate a seabed with turtle grass and mangroves. Here's a shot that shows a container of fish food for size comparison. The baby yellow tang is about 2". The tanks are 24" x 24" by 12" high:

I'm going for the opposite of OrionN -- instead of his 300 gallon tank I'm using a 30 gallon tank. I have two of these flats next to each other. The other tank houses my mag and softies and frags that I pulled from my DT:

I certainly hope this is not deflate gate. Unlike the Patriots, my gigs have not deflated (and I hope it stays that way!). The purple gig came from an established tank, so I was not concerned. The blue was from a LFS, looked good from the start and never needed treatment. And the bleached one hasn't had treatment either.

What's interesting is that when I clean the tank and stir up detritus and algae, the gigs get annoyed. They all ball up like a magnifica. I never saw this happen with my larger gigs, but these little ones do it quite a bit. I was worried the first time it happened, but it happens every time I clean the tank.

What you don't see in the photos are the tanks that sit below the flats. I have four 17 gallon tanks (24" x 12" x 14" high) that I use for QT and to house a pair of clowns (looking for more but don't know exactly what I want yet). All of the tanks are on a single sump system with protein skimmer, but each tank can be isolated when necessary.

When I QT a nem or fish, I close the drain and return to the tank I need to use, effectively isolating it from the rest of the system, add a heater and powerhead, and I am good to go. When I'm done, I drain it, disinfect it, add new salt water, then open the drain and return which adds it back to the main system.

Looking good D-Nak. You got all the colors right off the bat. I am looking for a Blue now. ProReef Corals got a nice looking green but the price is a little stiff.
Any close up picture of the anemones?
Your bleach anemone regain his zoox quickly. Did you transplanted him or did he just take the Zoox from the water?

D-Nak,
Are there a few anemones in the tank next to your Gigantea Spa? Look like there is a least one Magnifica

How do you do a zoox transplant?
I have a Gbta that is bleached due to me not acclimating it to the high light (4.8 Watts per gallon) One actinic 420 And one 10,000 any advice please
Nitrite:0
Nitrate:20 due to me using bad tap water but purchased good ro di water for evaporation and water changes. Is about 80% inflated and attached to side wall of hp and not hungry, Also i removed one of the bulbs so it could acclimate to the light
Any advice helps please

Since the thread got bumped back to the top, I thought I'd post an update. I didn't realize that I'd had the nem for over a month.

The blue gig I added turned out to be sick and infected my purple gig, as well as this bleached one. I never learn -- I kept it in QT for a week and it looked great. Never deflated. Even ate. But when I added it to the DT it deflated. Then the purple began folding up, and the bleached one balled up.

It also infected my little haddoni, which ended up dying. I noticed that once haddoni get sick, they go downhill QUICKLY.

The blue gig is still in QT, but I've returned both the purple and bleached gig to the DT. Both are showing signs of recovery. Had the bleached gig not needed treatment, I think it would have a lot more color by now. Regardless, the zoox population is definitely coming back:

The purple gig is also a bit bleached, but looks a lot better than it did a couple of weeks ago:

One thing I've noticed is that these small gigs are A LOT more fragile than the larger gigs I've had in the past. They tend to ball up when they're not happy.

Im sorry about the haddoni did you treat him with cipro?

Yes, I treated but I waited a bit too long. All were in treatment at one point. It was insane -- 4 nems all in QT at once.

Okay -- here's an update. The blue gig ended up dying. It never recovered even with a week of treatment (Cipro). The other two seem to be doing okay. Here they are in the QT tank. The little gig has colored up a lot even under lower light conditions:

Here's a split view of when I got it, and a few weeks later:

I'm still not sure what the final color will be, but it's definitely not green. Most likely going to be a tan gig with maybe some other colors if I'm lucky.
