She looks like this half of the day, normally wakes up kind of healthy and inflated and stays like that until the end of the day.

She had been in the tank for like 2-3 weeks, SG is 1.024 and the rest of the parameters seems to be ok.

I was thinking in changing 50% of the water with RO at 1.025 to see if it helps.

She looks sad to me but inflates, sometimes open and closes her mouth and she has color which makes me understand she is alive.

Good water flow not directly...

Ideas please? I wanna save her.... I have also read that this may be normal in the acclimation process and may last 2-3 months.

This is definitely NOT true.

Despite what others have said, or you may have read, anemones do not need to deflate -- ever -- unless there is something wrong. BTAs do sometimes deflate, but are able to bounce back. Other anemones do not have this ability.

Have you treated this anemone with Cipro? That is the first and only line of defense.

Many anemones, particularly gigantea and magnifica can take a long time to die -- sometimes over a month. Don't take it that your nem sometimes looks good as a sign of recovery. Healthy anemones are always fully inflated and have the ability to hold themselves upright. The only time they may deflate is at night, and usually at most 1/2 their normal daytime size. When they appear shriveled it means that they're trying to purge something internally.

No, given the price of a 10 gallon tank at a big box store like Petco, it's well worth it. Of course, you'll need a small powerhead and heater as well. Definitely follow the Cipro instructions in the sticky.

I also noticed that you have a 20 gallon tank. How big is the magnifica? Also, what are your tank parameters?

Thank you D-Nak! I will start tomorrow first thing in the morning, will buy the gallon tank with the powerhead and heater! Will let you know in one week my success or fail... Hopefully she can resist until tomorrow!

The only chance that anemone got is treatment with antibiotic. The sooner the better.
Healthy anemone contracts at times, when it is irritated due to one reason or another, but bot deflates. Certainly on daily basis.

1. Can I take 10gal of water from my current tank to use it in the hospital tank to start this night?

2. How is the lightning in the hospital tank? Procedure wasn't really clear... Does it needs light 24/7?

1. I use DT tank water, other people mix water for HT. I like to use DT because it is aged water and I don't have to worry about temp. When it is time to get him back to DT, I just move him over.
2. Provide the best light you can for about 12 hrs period.

I change 100% of the water if there is significant discharge from the sick anemone. Otherwise, I change 50% of the water daily right before the night phase and dose the antibiotic right before the light turn out.

all the key, for my best knowledge, is the mouth

it can deflate very very badly just like a dried meat but as long as the mouth stays closed or at least not so badly, there's hope for a recovery

How can you tell if there's a significant discharge to change all the water? I really want to do this right...

If the water is crystal clear, then there is no discharge. If you see some cloudiness, then I would change 100% of the water. I would err on the side of excessive change rather than not enough.
The anemone will eliminate when he is in the HT. When change water just suck these out. Even when not change water, it I see any solid in the HT, I just use a plastic pipette and remove these solids.

Ok I will start the process in about 2 hours.... what I'm planning to do:

At around 8:00pm

1) Prepare HT with power head, heater and lights.
2) Move 10 gallons from DT to HT and add 250mg of Cipro.
3) Add the anemone to the HT
4) Turn off the lights and let it rest.

5) Turn on the lights at 7am and let it run 'til 7pm when do 50% or 100% of water change and add new antibiotic.
6) Repeat the process for the next 3-5 Days.

Am I ok? That's what I'm understanding from the instructions on the sticky note... PLEASE ADVISE BEFORE I START
