Is it a big no no to put the return pipe underwater? Even if the water level never changes?

Awesome skimmer AcroSteve. If I went with an H&S, that would be the model I would get. Could you get a close-up of the bubbles in the reaction chamber?

Thinking about getting the A150-F2001, but it is out of stock on finsreef.com anyone have another suggestion? thanks, Nate

Just picked this up yesterday. I hope to get to Home Depot this weekend to pick up some plumbing pieces, so I can get this baby up and running:)

I beleive that the pumps are mounted upside down (in where the out should be)

DOH!!! You're right! The only negative I have for this skimmer so far is the complete lack of documentation. There is one page with instructions for the easy height adjuster, but that's it.

Thanks.

SPStoner,

the way you have it would work just fine, you just wouldn't pull as much air in and you would most likely have more bubbles returning to the sump.

Peace,
John H.

Just joined a week ago. This is my 150-F2001 internal after 3 days of skimming.. I did not have room for the external but as you can see this one rocks. Brain, thanks for your help...Steve

SPStoner is it up yet?

stevem650 and myusername, looking good . Everyone looks like there quite pleased with there H&S.

Net yet, Reefsalt. I have to get some plumbing supplies. Some of the people in the other forum said it is a metric fitting, which I may have trouble finding. I'll have to see what I can locate. :)

Soon, though...... It's assembled and sitting in my office. My wife thinks I'm nuts because she walks past my office door and I'm just sitting there staring at it:D

Should have my multifilter up today, though:)
