Had a great swap day!

Just wanted to say thanks to everybody who worked so hard to put it together this year, especially Ashley who worked her butt off in the kitchen and doesn't even like saltwater! :)

I had a great time, and got some new stuff...AND i made half of what i spent...which is better than nothin. :) course, if richard asks, we made a killing. shhhhh!

i was a really fun day. i enjoyed meeting some new people and being able to just relax with the old (eddie) ones. haha

and, randy, you'll be proud...i dipped. :)

also, congrats to the new BOD:

Mr. President - Randy (a given)

Ms. Vice President - Kim (thank goodness she's brighter than Biden)

Secretary - Me (i prefer Madam Secretary...wonder if i can change my username?)

Treasurer - Janie...hmmmm, is she as good
at saving as she is at spending? haha
 
I think it will be great to get some female perspective in the club's BOD! It's also nice to see a pretty even gender split in the club and supportive spouses are always a bonus!

It was a great swap!!! Turnout was about what I expected... I think we had about 2/3's of the attendance we had last year... However, everyone I spoke to found what they were looking for (except toadstool), and everyone that was selling made what they were anticipating... All in all, it was a pretty successful event!!! :D

5. Sustainable aquatics is hands down the best for fish! Period! Thanks for the shirt and neon gobies!
6. The Coral Reef was great and we had a good visit. I honestly commented to the others how inviting the staff was at CR. It felt like a family atmosphere and as if we were part of the family. Matt and Crew A+++ Every single one of you were top notch. They even offered us cookies and milk!

Thanks again to you all. Look forward to seeing you at the Chatt swap in Aug!
 
Yeah, the hard work paid off and thanks to everybody for helping put it all together... shout-outs in particular: set up and take down parties, Mel & Ashley in the kitchen...Paul & Dave as bouncers at the door, Eddie & Randy as supreme overlords, oh, let's don't forget DJ McLovin for breaking the silence - werd!

I got some really nice stuff...like Christmas in June!!!
 
I had a blast and ended up getting much more than I thought I would be able to.
Dana, that Acan is GORGEOUS under my lights, I'll try to post a good pic later.
Gflat, the Acan with green is looking really good, other one is still opening up. Both look purty.
Rev- Ding DANG Dude!!! Killer Palys, thanksamillion, will try to post a good pic of those later too.
Still have a couple of frags floating, trying to make good spots for them in my crowded abode before I can open up the bags.
Thanks to all for all the hard work, sorry I wasn't able to contribute more, I really wanted to!

What do mean Dana, I can't spend the money. That's not what Dave told me! (_) ! Just hope I can be half as efficient at it as he is, performing treasurer duties that is. I know I could out spend anyday.
 
I forget how much I miss you guys and the hobby in general until I have a day like I had today. I had a blast and I can't tell you all how much fun it is for me to see fellow reefers and talk tanks, corals, gossip, etc.....for few hours:D

In a weird way one of my favorite parts of the hobby has always been the people and that was definitely the case today!!!

Also kudos to all those that worked so hard to put on the swap. I look forward to the day that I can contribute more again.

I don't know if it was worse last year when I bought stuff with nowhere to put them and now have no idea what I bought. Or being there this year and not buying cause I have a place but it is not ready. But the Chattanooga swap and for sure the MTRC swap, will find me ready. Now if I just had some money. Ha!,HA!!

Thanks to all for the help, participation and a good time, hopefully had by all. Wonder how many raffle tickets we could have sold if we ........... You guys really wanted that 29g. LOL

All I needed was to bring home another tank.

Thanks to everyone who attended the swap! A lot of thanks goes to the sponsors and the local stores that came and supported the swap. Thanks to Eddie and his wife for reserving the room at the church - I think this is a great place for the swap. Thanks to McLovin and friends for running the ETRC frag tank.

All of the frags I got at the swap are doing good - I started my addiction..., I mean collection of acans - they are all doing well. Congrats to the new board!

I especially want to thank Eddie for arranging the great place for us to have the swap. With out this great venue I don't think that it would go as well as it did.
And Ashley, what a job she did in feeding all of us.

Now I can't wait for next year!

Thanks to everyone for a great swap! I had a wonderful time and it was great to see everyone! I got some cool stuff that is looking pretty happy and I am greatly pleased with my new protein skimmer from the raffle!!

Thanks to all that helped to make your Swap a great way to spend a day and to make some new friends. Dave, Everyone Is greatful for all the frags you sent to them back here In Nashville.
It was nice to put people together with names finally and thanks for being so nice to my grandbaby, Hope she didn't give any one Chicken pocks!!! I now have a couple of new favorites In my tank thanks to you all....
