Haddoni + LTA?

Hi everyone!

Im going to upgrade my tank to a 100gal display tank. I currently have a LTA with an ocellaris host in a 42gal DT and wanted to know if I could keep a haddoni and the LTA in my new DT?

Livestock includes an odonus niger, six line wrasse, ocellaris, couple of crabs, and the LTA... In the new DT I plan on a mandarin and another ocellaris to make the pair.

And if the Haddoni is a problem, what about a RBTA?

I think as long as you keep them across the tank from each other they should be fine.I would also run some carbon and change it out about once a week or so!

NICE! sounds good, I always run carbon in my systems but dont change it as often. But ill do it, I love Nems hope this works out!

I've been trying an LTA & BTA in a 105g... lta is fine and growing steadily..

Bta, completely deflates once very 36 hours...but shows bubbled or partially bubbled tips when it's inflated.

what species "LTA"?

Haddon's anemone will eat Mandarinfish.

I didnt know they would eat the mandarin :S, guess Ill have to choose, will all kinds of carpets eat the mandarin or just the Haddoni?

If yes maybe Ill try the BTA, Ill have to think about it because I like the carpets, we'll see, maybe a good looking BTA will be nice!

haddonis are proven fish eaters, a lot of people have problems with them, and not just small fish, tangs and the like too.

giganteas (the other host carpet species) I think are not fish eaters, but are harder to keep and find healthy specimens of.

personally, Id just get an RBTA, less worry and hassle.

I think ur right! Ill get a BTA and have a peaceful tank LOL... I dont wanto a lot troubke keeping the Gigantea, Id hate for one of these to die on me :S...

Theres lots of nice BTAs out there, Ill be on the look for one when I have my tank setup.

Gigantes have been seen to eat fish too.Its just not as common as the Haddoni sp.I will put it to you this way though,all anemones have the chance of eating fish,some more than other but when getting an anemone there is always that chance.

Ohhh sorry about that I guess there's a price to pay for having something as a great as the nems! Hopefully the other fish will stay a little further!
