I might buy one of these. I wanted to know if all haddons that go thru the shipping process need to be quarantined with cipro prior to adding it to the DT? Can I add it to the DT and monitor for problems then quarantine if necessary or is it better to just quarantine all Haddons upon arival with cipro regardles if they look fine? I have BB tank, do these need sand ?

QT and treatment is strongly advised, and a hadonni needs sand, yes.

The QT part is more to protect your system.

People do not think about it, but that anemone is MOSTLY WATER. When it get in your tank it expells most of the water to get your water in its self and get used to it.

Hummm... Where do you think the old water goes?

Yup in your tank.

So to QT it, at a minimum, will protect you for any thing that might have been picked up at the warehouse, LFS, or even from the reef it came from.

QT does not mean months. To QT it and do a few 100% water changes will give you a safe frame of mind. Plus if you do water changes WITH your DT water, then it gets used to it quicker.
