How long has ur carpet gone with out eatting? i just got mine bout two weeks ago. mine spits the food out everytime i feed it, but it poops throughout the day. U guys think hes poppin snails? has anyone experienced something like this? also wat are u feeding it? ive tried roggers reef food and pieces of silver sides

I would think that an otherwise healthy one, in a proper tank could go a very long time without any direct feedings, 6-12 months perhaps.

I know personally mine have gone at least 2 months and didn't look any worse for it.

I don't believe that yours is "pooping throughout the day", but is expelling is zoax. If it was pooping snails, you would see a bunch of shells near the anemone.

I feed mine frozen (( thawed )) krill. I no longer use silversides, had a bad experience with them. Mine will also catch food that was meant for the fish.

3 shells wouldn't be enough food for it to be "pooping throughout the day"

What are your tank specs, size, lights, parameters...

i have a 60g 48 incges long with 4 t5 ho's my parameters are equal to those on liveaquaria

What type of bulbs? Individual reflectors?

What are the actual numbers for your parameters?

Are they all daylight bulbs, actinic, etc....

How about phosphate and Mag levels.
