Hanna Phosphate checker.........pulling my hair out!

I just use Revive. But will triple dip if I see anything suspicious and break off the frag plug to thoroughly inspect and dip again. Have not nuked anything that way yet with that method and no bugs...knock on wood :)

DapG,
Thanks! Yea, I am going to try the RedSea first before I do anything. I know my phosphates are low. I get micro algae on the glass about every 3 or so days. My nitrates test zero.

Well thats great to know. It's those dam Red Bugs that do a good job and chomping on your corals! You really have to watch it!

Film of algea on glass about 3 days sounds pretty normal for me. Then again, I'm in the "dirty sps tank club" :)

lol, I just want dam accurate readings for my phosphate is all! IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK THIS HOLIDAY SEASON???????????

Thanks Dave,
I purchased the new RedSea Algae test kit. It does both Nitrate and Phosphate!!! I love it!!! No more scratching my head after doing a test. And 100 tests is a heck of a lot cheaper then the Hanna tester.

Used my Hanna today and had the following results on the same sample:

.11, .08, .02, .05

I wonder if there is settling that occurs for the later tests that leads to lower values

uuuuggggghhhh! I am soooooooooo happy to be done with that!!!! The RedSea test is just brilliant! I love it, and have no desire to go back to the Hanna at all............
