Has anyone bought cleanup crews from ReefCleaners.org?

Prices seemed very good. Reviews seemed very good too. So I ordered a small batch (snails, crabs, and some mangroves). I was just curious as to whether anyone has had experience with them?

I also liked that they have an option for group buys!

Excellent! Thanks for the feedback! I was VERY impressed with the prices! Having a a 210 gallon now, cleanup crews aren't nearly as cheap as they were when I had a 75 ;-)

I have ordered from them twice. My first order I found the snails to be a tad small but overall I'm super happy with the customer service as I had some doa and they credited my account

I have never heard anything negative about these guys. Great prices, great service, great product. I have a cleanup crew from them and would buy again in a heartbeat. If you do a search you'll find tons of positive feedback.

I ordered my first set on Friday and John has been great to deal with. I would expect smaller snails with how low the pricing is.

So they were emailing with me, and told me that that they needed to clarify my order prior to going on their dive this morning to collect my order!

Holy cow, are they pulling direct from the ocean and shipping to my house. Pretty amazing! I think I will be buying more from them in my future!

I had heard great reviews from so many people, and my tank was in desperate need of some cleaners (there aren't any fish stores where I live). Needless to say I am extremely disappointed.
When I placed the order, I picked the top option, most expensive option, suggested option, which was overnight/2 day express. I sent an email with the order to make sure it got shipped on Thursday so I could be home Friday to get it. My mail came and went with no package. After tracking down the box, and spending much time on the phone with USPS, I was told my package would not be arriving till Saturday. After begging and pleading, USPS was willing to call me at ten o clock that night when the truck got in so that the box wasn't waiting overnight at the post office.
Which, it didn't matter if I got them that night or the next day because most of the box was dead.
I emailed reefcleaners which they responded to send pictures of the damages after telling me it was my fault because I picked the wrong shipping.
We sent the pictures. A few days later I check my account to see that from the $100 order (that includes shipping) my account had been refunded THIRTEEN dollars. I got refunded for four dead emerald crabs, minus the five dollar promo coupon.
I emailed reefcleaners. The response I got was that from the pixelated pictures from my phone, they could tell that everything else was alive, and only the crabs were dead, and I was welcome to send new photos. If any of you have had dead sea creatures, they are the worse smelling things ever. I threw them away after the first pictures were taken, how was I supposed to send new pictures?
So all in all, it is my fault because I picked the wrong shipping, and my photos didn't show dead animals. Essentially, I paid $87 for a handful of snails and hermit crabs. Furthermore, I feel slightly offended that my word meant jack ****.
If you live west of the Mississippi I wouldn't recommend them because you will get a late box full of dead animals and you will not get a new animal, credit, or your money back. You will receive an email full of distrust and excuses.

I have also ordered from them and had a good experience. There were a few hermit crabs hiding in my army of snails. I am pretty sure the hermit crabs have been slowly eating the snails - talk about a way to generate future sales!

I won't say your story isn't the truth, but I will say it is really hard to believe as I've witnessed John bend waaaaaaay over backwards to make a customer happy.

I've gotten several orders in the past from RC without issue, even up here in snowy cold Wyoming :).

good experience here....even needed a delayed ship date and John was very accommodating...
would def recommend ReefCleaners

You picked 2 day shipping on tropical creatures destined for idaho in the winter. And you want to blame someone else. Does not compute.

Holy cow. Way to wake up a dead thread ;)

I have ordered from them twice. I had wonderful expereicnes both times. The first time, I can admit that some of what I recieved arrived dead. I took pics, send them to RC, and within a day I had a refund on my account for everything I said had died. I had no issues at all getting a refund, and their customer service is why I went back a second time to get more. I continue to be very impressed with this company. Just my opinion. I am sure not every customer is made happy in any business, but I have been happy with RC.

On the other hand, to reef cleaners:

"You offer two day shipping on tropical creatures destined for Iowa in the winter and want to blame someone else? Does not compute."

I like reef cleaners, but they shouldn't even offer two day.

I have ordered from them multiple times and have been very happy. I have gotten both plants and inverts. But, I do not order in the middle of winter. Only overnight shipping. My LFS, even though it's not very local, is still the place to go for CUC in the middle of these temps.
