Has anyone seen nigripes clowns of late?

I saw a ritteri hosting 6 little black foot (feet?) about 5 years ago and have been kicking myself for not getting them ever since...

Check at Dolphin Pet Village in San Jose/Saratoga (I can never remember which city it's in.) Tyler has some in one of the reef displays. I don't know if they're for sale but he canprobably get more in if you ask.

Just checked and www.mknwaves.com has some in stock. They're in Van Nuys if you want to take a road trip for fish. Otherwise, they do ship!

Be sure to call and confirm availability first. Hate to have them sell while you're on your way down.

There are online places that have them and if that does not work for you, I have several LFS around me that have them for about $30 each or so... you ought to be able to have your LFS order them too.

For the most part, unless an online vendor has them in their "what you see is what you get" section, they don't have them. If they are on their regular price list, there is about a 90% chance that they will be back ordered and that order will never fill.

If your LFS has a good relationship with its suppliers, and they like you :), they should be able to come through for you in less than 2 months. Most wholesalers get shipments from the Maldive's about once a month, but they are not always sent Nigripes unless they ask for them.

Not to mention, they seem to be terrible shippers :(

Very true. That and the fact that they are not very popular with normal people who shop at LFSs (us clownfish geeks are not normal), is why wholesalers usually don't request them from their suppliers unless somebody asks for them.

I saw quite a few at Dolphin last week.

dantodd---- have you ever had anything shipped from this mknwaves?? they seem to have good prices, just wondering how the quality and how there shipping is..thanks

no I haven't. They are a sponsor here and at rareclownfish I've seen mixed reviews but the owner is active on the boards and has offered to do anything to make the customer happy.

Maldives shipments are sporatic at best right now considering the conflict in that region at the moment. We have not gotten a Sri Lanka/Maldives shipment in over two months!!!

dantodd,
This is Jim from Makin' Waves Inc. most of the problems we have had with any orders has been due to DHL, so we have corrected that problem right quick. In the meantime, you are correct that we really do strive to make sure that our customers get top notch customer service and any problems that arise is handled on a case by case basis, instead of the "Look at our company policies page for DOA issues". We do specialize in custom ordering, as we get 90% of our stock direct, and the items that we do not have in stock we will get for you. JN

Sorry for the OT question, but will you ship Fed Ex Jim? Their office is a mile from my house, so FedEx HOLD for pick-up is the only way I will order/ship livestock.

criccio,
We can send your order via FedEx, just note the request in the special comments section of the order, should you place the order online. JN
