Haugen's Reef - 190g

My favorite fish, who is also a model reef citizen:

Full tank shot - there is still a lot of corals to be added and a lot of growth to go before it looks mature.

I added a 300 gallon sump to my sytem in the basement a couple months ago and my tank has looked twice as healthy ever since. I'm very pleased with the sump. I bought space blankets to work as reflectors and to act as a cover. I run two 400w 6K halides. You can see the two part dosing sytem on the shelf.

If you paid for that 1st sump using a credit card, I would check with the Bank on getting that taken off your account since they didn't deliver a product. Worst that they say is no.

Tanks looking sharp!

Wow those posts came up as new when I clicked them, didn't notice the date until after the pictures loaded....sorry.

Thorsen, that big sump looks great. How is the tank temperature with the sump covered like that? So nice to see this thread updated once again. :)

I like your Harlequin Tuskfish. They are so vivid. Why are those corals in the sump and not in the display?

Thanks Marc. The temperature hasn't been a problem because my basement here in PA is cold - if it becomes a problem I'll uncover the sump. The corals in the sump aren't mine. I have a good friend who is moving and setting up a new tank. I'm baby sitting his corals. I do have a beautiful purple tang in the sump but I'm afraid I'll never catch him.
