Haulover Inlet OMG!

What is cost for deliver?

usually its around $100 for most people 100 gal+....it just really depends on how much you are going to take and will it be on a regular basis.....you can usually work out a price cut for a larger volume on a regular basis

I use Frank ...pm me if you want his number

Strong visible current 10+ mph coming in and out

Not quite that strong a current. Even on a full moon tide it only peaks at just a hair under 4 knots. (4 knots = 4.6mph for the landlubbers of the group). At the peak of the current, you can even see the water level difference between the ocean side and bay side. Pretty impressive.

great spot to jet ski. just dont fall off. lol

Jet skiing in a channel is a bad idea...too many boats actually using the channel.

Yeah love to try hitting the skiers on the way out of the inlet with my boat :deadhorse::beer:

Sometimes the real challenge is missing them.

There was also a documentary that it's also a high way for sharks getting ready to breed.

See Bull Sharks on a pretty regular basis. Had a juvenile that was hanging out for a few weeks by the universities dock. I've also seen Spinners jumping inside the bay over by Beer Can Island. One of my friends while working out using a quadcopter for doing wildlife surveys got a shot of a 6 foot hammerhead swimming in the anchorage. Even heard a report of a crocodile hanging out along the ICW just north of 163rd St....the day before I took a bunch of grad students out to get in the water for some surveys just south of the bridge :D

Yeah most of them have no brains ! I came close to hitting a skier by inches which would have killed him . jumping a wave 10ft in front of my boat . I had no room to turn because I would have been into the rocks . then he runs up to me screaming what the hell I was doing ! Go figure !

I'm sure there are responsible jet skiers out there but in my experience most are idiots. I love how they run back and forth jumping your wake in an inlet full of boats. That's retarded. It's like skateboarding on the palmetto....just say no!!

finally

finally

I had to crop a bunch of times but this was the day I pulled out 50 gallons of water from Haulover!

I usually take the kids to the beach there since it's less crowded. They love the little spot by the rocks. The boats coming in make great waves for them. I see jet skiers there all the time also. But.... the "highway for sharks" thing made me nervous now.
