I believe it is. There has been a little chasing but the tank is big enough for the two of them. I am not convinced I have a borb pair either but they get along just fine. If they get too bad, I have the 80g frag tank for one.

Gorgeous pics! A local friend had these... one turned male. Stunning fish for sure!

I thought I would update. We have had these two fish for a bit more than a month, and they are doing well. We think we may have 2 males, but so far they are coexisting. Worst case scenario, one will be caught and relocated to the frag tank. They are far more active than I expected and spend most of their day out in the water column. I was worried about providing adequate food, but so far they are fat and thriving. I'll badger Mike to take more photos soon, the larger fish is developing really lovely colors.

Another month past, another quick updat. Both are doing well and are eating g very well. They are without a doubt not males, we visited the lfs where we bought them and they have a male with 4 females, both of ours are still females. The male they have is a stunner and our pair might get there sometime, but not now.

MikeandNicole, did you notice how much the color has faded on the male at the Lfs? It looks duller than when it first came in, I'm curious if a more varied diet would bring the colors back.

If that was a faded male, I can't imagine what it looked like when it came in!

Beautiful fish, but I would expect a more filled out belly by now (not criticizing, just observing :) ).

It might just be the camera angle but I understand what you are saying. They are picky eaters, they will eat mysis but very little else. They also love live blackworms so I have stepped up the feedings of them as well.

Have you tried grating raw frozen prawn or scallop?
