Health benefits for a clown to host in an anemone

Been looking over the clown forum and ive gathered a good deal of useful info. Have a question that didnt really get answered with a search

What potential health benefits (Like a better slime coat) does the anemone provide a clown? Well aware the natural relationship is for food and protection but are there benefits in an aquarium environment where needs are met? Is there anything scientific, like growth studies, suggesting a clown should only be raised with an anemone. My future set up will most likely begin as PC lighting and it seems you need to get lucky to keep an anemone under PCs.

Along those lines, will an artificial host be acceptable. Not looking to meet the bare minimum, trying to create an environment for the fish to flourish.

Well, for the nem many clowns will groom/feed the nem, even coax it to open up and eat.
For the clowns the nem usually keeps them close to host, and not wandering around tank, where they have potential to jump or come in contact w/ intakes or whatever(which should be covered anyway)
I think a nem also can provide a safer area for laying eggs.
That's all I can think of as far as benefits go, but they are perfectly fine w/out them.
A frogspawn or similar is fine as an alternative.
