This just came in last night. Coloration looks incredible and it looks full. I'm not too sure what to think about the mouth. Is this gaping? Should probably wait a week or so to see how it does.

The mouth is gaping, however the color is great. Watch it, and see how it does. I have a green one that had a nice tight mouth in the store, but when i put it in my tank the mouth was open for a few days. After a couple of feedings, the mouth is tight again and the color has actually gotten more intense.

Yes the mouth is gaping, but that is probably due to shipment. Tell your lfs that you will take the chance and pay for it now and see if you can get a discount on it, chances are if you take it out of the store before the week is up, they will give you a discount. They would rather you take the loss instead of them, i would give it a try and everything should work out.

Hmmm, I have been in contact with 'Mingwei' from Atlantis over the last few days and according to him, the purple and blue carpets are looking very good. I sure hope they are telling the truth cause I've got them looking for a healthy ritteri as well and may be purchasing one of the blue carpets soon.

I have never ordered from Atlantis before, but my local fish club made a pretty huge SPS order from them several weeks ago and they were fairly happy with what they got.
