heart attack?

can cleaner shrimps get a heart attack? My cleaner has been with me for 9+ months and has more than doubled in size. All of a sudden he/she was walking around and did several severe tail slaps (almost coming out of the tank) and froze. hasn't moved since. I don't know what happened. Any clues?

Mine did something similar. went from one side of the tank to the other. ended up behind a rock and didn't ma ke it through the night. I just happened to look up one night and saw him flying across the tank. Sorry but I hope yours makes it.

This might be an attempt to break out of their skin when molting is hampered. I have read of this happening before and somebody at the time speculated that it might be due to low iodide levels (hampering molting).

my cleaner didn't make it. In fact, i just briefly witnessed it tail slapping all over the place and all of a sudden it stopped, so did any other movement thereafter... : (
that lead me to believe it was a heart attack of some kind. TheH could be right about it having difficulty molting. need to dose Iodide regularly.
