Well guys, I may have killed the frags. They both got sick and I put both of them in a 10/g. I have pictures of one, but the other went in the next day.
So anyway, I treated with Septra first and nothing else. No Cipro. They both perked right up within 24 hours.
Here come the messed up part:
I had recently set my heater to 83 just to see if they liked it more. It was previously 78. Well apparently, the temp swing was too high or the heater didn't shut off properly.
It's a 125W in a 10/G so probably my fault. I believe it's over rated for that tank could have possibly been the cause. I'm not sure.
So yeah, I cooked them. I woke up to take a leak early in the afternoon (work nights) and happen to walk over to the QT's just to make sure everybody was doing ok. Well, the tank was like super cloudy. The day prior, I noticed that one had expelled a ton of brown crap. I thought to myself that this was extremely odd, but didn't realize at that point what the problem was. So I saw the super cloudy tank with 2 deflated anemones that were looking so good previously. I was thinking dang, what happened. So I start to trouble shoot in my head. I happened to look at my $2 thermometer and yeah....was reading low 90's!!!!
I stick my hand in the water and dear God, it felt like a hot tub. I drained the tank immeadetly and added fresh 80 degree DT water. 10 degree difference. May have shocked them pretty bad.
As I left for work, they were both completely deflated and looked pretty bleached. When I cut the flow off, they were still moving and very lively. I'm hoping that they will make it. I played with my lighting and they did inflate a bit a responded.
I can only hope that when I get home they are still alive. I'm hoping to see them inflated. Fingers crossed.
So here's what could be the last pictures of these two. Sorry guys. :-(
I bet them temp was hot here and I didn't even snap to it or catch it. He was secreting this brown smoke from his column.
I'm kicking myself right now. I really liked the tentacles on this Mag.
