Help, anemone looking weird

all i have seen is calcium, alk, salinty all good

but you stated nit and phos at .25

what are nit??..... nitrate??.... nitrite????

if its nitrates at .25 then thats okay but if its nitrites at .25 then thats a big problem.

and .25 phosphates is high natural sea water runs .00___

what about ph?

what about ammonia?

and have you tested for copper? copper could do that to an anemone also.

Sorry bud, I meant nitrates, ammonia 0 cooper haven't test ph 8.0

Hate to say it but I told you....I knew it was dying...it was turning grey and now white....sorry to hear man...my pictures can prove my theory themselves and everyone I've talked to about it here agree and we have taken care of reefs for over 5 years....when I said feed him I should have specified a little food and turn the lights down...obviously it was getting to much light since it kept moving downward in the tank.

This morning, I would give it for dead just yet

is say he is still wrong the reason it wouldnt eat is because it is stressed. the amount of energy it takes to consume solid food is tremendous and based on your pictures that anemone would likely go downhill even quicker if you tried feeding it. i am still certain it can pull through and survive this. it needs to rest and recover and getting some light will aid in this process. so if you have to move rocks around to give him a little light then do so.
but domination i have read alot of your posts on different threads and it seems in general you are knowledgable and give good helpful information but on this particular subject you are misinformed feeding that nem was never a good idea and still is not a good idea.

Bravo even if it is the right idea, am not wasting my time on something that would not eat anyways, what am I gonna do?? Open its mouth and feed it??? Not quite possible lol, so let's hope she can recover by itself, she is in a place where she's getting some useful light right now, I truly believe this was my foul, about 3 weeks ago I gave her a piece of shrimp the side of my thumb, she was kinda struggling to eat it and she did, but after that she spend like 2 weeks spitting out some kind of brown slim, I just remember about the creaking piece of raw shrimp

the brown slime is its normal waste they do that from time to time and its nothing to be alarmed about nor is it an indicator of whats happening now.

Ok obviously the algae that nems come with has been desemated in that nem....so now it's focusing on rebuilding it's population taking the attention away from the anemone causing it not to be very good at protecting the algae. So it's a continous circle...in order for the anemone to protect the algae and help it regrow is to have the nutritions replennished that the algae is not producing since it's desimated. But it's up to you to chose how to handle it and I hope it works out for us.

well something is for sure here, if this one pulls out, i have learned so much from you guys that my next tank will be, an all anemone tank lol

My second next tank I'm going to tackle the cold water tanks....I'm going to stock up with strawberry anemones and deep sea fish....where the highest temp is 66

Miguel, Look up at the top of this forum and look at the procedures for treating a Nem with Cipro. Minh and I both have a slightly different way of doing it, but both are very similar. Can you look and see if this is something you can do with this Nem? It may be the only hope it has left.

there's no way i can do it, no time plus no quarentine tank at the moment, i do plan on getting one for something like this in the future, but am leaving to dry tortugas next week, and italy in a couple of months, so i will have to wait and see how this plans out by itself

The foot looks like its deteriorating...I'm 99.9% possitive it's a goner....I would immediately take it out of the tank before it nukes everything else.....if you still want to try the other suggestions I'd set up a small tank very quick and move it to it and a piece of live rock and nothing else so if it does die it won't take out the tank
