Yesterday i bought a green carpet anemone at a lfs. It looked great in the tank they had it in and they told me it would be fine in my tank. I acclimated it about for an hour or so and put it in the tank. When i came down to the tank this morning before the lights were on it looked great fully opened and looked healthy. Soon after the lights came on it looked like ****. Its mouth is like insideout its not sticky and just looks like a green blob. Now id really love it if this wonderful animal didnt die.I also noticed its only sticky in certain spots and the foot isnt really attaching. Here are some pictures of it now.

Sorry if the pictures are bad!

My parameters are great as well

Nitrite nothing shows up on test
Nitrate nothing shows up on test

Lighting is 2x250 halides and 4-t5s

Flow is moderate too.

PLEASE HELP I DONT WANT TO LOSE THIS ANIMAL!!

Oh Aaron, I really hope you didn't put this in your pretty newly set up 75 gallon tank, and is at least in your other 75 gallon tank........

That being said, we need some more info about your tank and what's going on:
1. What size tank, and how long has it been up and running?
2. All tank parameters, including SG and alkalinity.
3. What type of carpet anemone it is.
4. Why do you have it placed in a piece of pvc?

I'm sure the experts will chime in, especially once you give some more information about your whole setup.

As for acclimating it to your lighting, put at least 3 layers of window screening or eggcrate above where the anemone is, and remove one layer weekly. This will help slowly acclimate the anemone to your lighting. I hope it makes it.

In the last pic it looks like mine did a week before dying. Don't hesitate to bring it back, trust me it sucks to have to flush one down the toilet I just did an hour ago.. If I was to try a carpet again(never) I wouldn't hesitate to return it and look for another if things didn't go smoothly. If it doesn't attach in a few days it probably never will
