Help.. Difference in 7400/2 and Stream 6000

I have a 65 gallon 36 x 24 x 17. It will be a mixed reef with zoos, frogspawn, and sps on top. I will be using a 2 inch sand bed. After reading on here abit I see the stream 6000 is not recommended. Is the only difference between the 7400/2 and 6000 the flow output? Does the 7400/2 still put out the same wide flow. Would this provide all the flow I need? My return is going to use a Quiet One 3000 (780gph with 5 feet of head).

The 7400/2 puts a proportionally broad flow but it is not as broad as the Stream. The 7400/2 has a 1" outlet and does about 1000 gph. The flow is 12" wide and about 7ft long so it will have considerable bounce back which is preferred flow for frogspawns. The 6000 does 1800gph from a 2" nozzle and covers a 4ft by 2ft area.
